Lessee

A lessee in real estate is an individual or entity that obtains the right to use or occupy a property from a lessor under the terms of a lease agreement. The lessee pays rent to the lessor in exchange for this right and agrees to abide by the conditions specified in the lease, which may include rules on property use, maintenance responsibilities, and duration of tenancy. Lessees can be tenants of residential properties, such as apartments or houses, or businesses leasing commercial spaces, like offices, retail stores, or industrial units. The lessee’s primary obligations include making timely rent payments, maintaining the property in good condition, and adhering to all lease terms and local regulations.
