Condo Association Fees

Condo association fees, also known as condominium fees or maintenance fees, are recurring payments made by condo owners to cover the costs of maintaining and managing the common areas and amenities of the condominium complex. These fees typically fund expenses such as landscaping, maintenance of common areas (e.g., hallways, parking lots), utilities for common areas, insurance for the building structure, repairs, and management services provided by the condominium association.

As for the number of condos in the US, as of my last update in January 2022, there were over 6 million condominium units in the United States. However, this number may have changed since then due to new developments, conversions, and other factors affecting the housing market. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, you may want to consult recent housing market reports or data from relevant government agencies such as the U.S. Census Bureau or the National Association of Realtors.
